Can anyone use Steps?Yes, it doesn't matter which country you are in all you need is an internet connection.
What is Steps?An online program that takes you through 'step by step' how to set up a Facebook page and/or your LinkedIn profile, how to use it to promote your business, advertise and get it working for you.
How easy is Steps to use?Very easy, we have tested it with a wide range of abilities and even if you have only ever used the internet for looking at the weather you will be fine
How much does it cost?AU$19.95 (£13/US$19) per month for complete access to the Facebook or LinkedIn courses.
Is it just one payment a month?Yes, that's it. You pay $19.95/month (£13/US$19) for either Facebook Pages or LinkedIn ($40 for both!) and get everything you need to have a great social media presence.
How long should I sign up for?As long as you need to, you may want to dip in and out of it, and use it as an ongoing resource, or you might just use it for a week and be done - it is completely up to you.
When is my credit card charged?Each month on date that you joined, so if you joined on the 15th your credit card will be charged on the 15th of each month.
What happens at the end of the 1st month membership?Your credit card will automatically be recharged. You can cancel at any time, but you don't get a refund (see next question on how to cancel).
How do I cancel my Steps Account?Just login and click on the "Manage my account" link on the left hand side of the page, this will take you your account where you can instantly cancel your access and you won't be charged again.
When I cancel when does my account stop?When you cancel your account it takes effect immediately - even if for example you have just paid for the following month 2 days prior and then cancel you won't have access from any time AFTER you cancel.
If I need help how can I get it?Steps does not offer dedicated phone or email support, the best way to get in contact is via our Facebook page, it is checked regularly and we will respond to you within 24 hours. If you need non-technical help, ie how to do something on Facebook or LinkedIn we can offer paid one-on-one help, the rate is $250/hr, however you shouldn't need it as Steps has everything you need, just read through it step by step.
The Steps program won't work, what can I do?First of all check what internet browser you are using - Steps does not support Internet Explorer version 6 or 7, if you are using these, then you need to upgrade your browser. If it still isn't working leave a message on the Facebook page.
Can I use the software with more than one Facebook page?Yes, you can, with as many as you want.
Do I need a Facebook account to use it?No, you can use Steps without a Facebook account, we will show you how to set up a page without an account.
Is Steps for Facebook up to date?Yes, I try to make sure it is as up to date as possible, as Facebook changes things I will change them as well.
Is Steps for LinkedIn up to date?Yes, Lara goes in and updates it as LinkedIn changes things.
Do I need any software on my computer for Steps to work?You just need an internet browser, it could be internet explorer, firefox, chrome or safari.
Can I use Steps with a Mac computer?Yes, you can use Steps on a Mac or PC, it is all done on the internet, just open your internet browser and go!
What does Steps look like?There is a short presentation here that shows it to you.
Do I need internet access to use Steps?Yes you do, it works online and you need to be able to access Facebook or LinkedIn at the same time.
What happens if I forget my username or password?Go to the login form and it will have the option to click on forgotten password and we will re-email it to you.
Is my Facebook log in information safe when I use Steps?Yes, we don't ever see your Facebook username or password, and don't keep your username and password on file.
Is my LinkedIn information safe when I use Steps?Yes, Steps opens LinkedIn in a new browser window on your computer - we don't keep any of the information you add or change.
Do you have Steps in any other languages other than English?Sorry, currently Steps is only in English, we are planning to add more languages as we grow
What happens if I get stuck?Please visit our Facebook page and leave a comment.
Can I make the Steps instruction window bigger?Yes, just drag the box at the corner.
Can I use Steps on an iPad?Unfortunately not, because you need to have 2 internet windows open at the same time and you can't do that on an iPad.

Can I set up more than one Facebook page with Steps?Yes you can, you can set up as many as you like.
How do I know which sections in Steps that I have done?There will be a tick and a date stamp which shows that you have completed the section and when you did it.
Can I change my Facebook page without the Steps program?Yes you can, just go to www.Facebook.com
Does Steps only show you how to set up a business page on Facebook?Steps takes you through Facebook pages, your page could be for business or personal use. The LinkedIn version takes you through using LinkedIn to promote yourself and your business.
How can I pay for access to Steps?You can pay by credit card Visa or Mastercard.
Can I change my email address and/or password associated with my account later?Yes, just log into your Steps account and click on "manage my account" and you can do it there :)
